Fluid like water

Dear Readers,

What do you do when life presents to you a brick wall that prevents you from going further? This is the feeling I am feeling right now; in a stump, unable to get near or far from anything I have set myself to achieve. Along the way, I have somehow forgotten my goals and the fire I once have has nearly been extinguished but not entirely. Life really is life the fluidity of water but it’s up to you to go against the currents and pave your own path, at least that is what I have come to comprehend in my life. I spend so much time putting aside my goals to focus on other things that I almost forget about them in the long- run. I want you to know that life is only ever lived once- not that you don’t know, but just a friendly reminder that this is your only shot. 😉 Ask questions later, who know what life will bring!

A question to ask yourself.

As always, see you in my next post. xxx

Stars in others

Some people are like stars,

They shine in what they are not in who they are,

Even in the darkness they find the light,

they find hope and they live to see others appreciate their glory,

Once in a while they fly to inspire dreams,

they make people believe,

And before they die their radiance glows the brightest

in selflessness, they breathe

until the last breath but not before lighting ardor in people’s heart.

Dear readers, thank you for giving my thoughts and musings/poems a chance. I have never been a natural poet. Here’s my attempt at developing a better relationship with words. This poem is for all those people who are the light in the life of others and the people who are precious to me in my life.  They remind me of the brightest stars out there and they give me so much hope when I feel like I can’t go on anymore. I feel very grateful and lucky to have these people in my life.

Happy Reading!

Why is life like this? |Thoughts

Looking around the world I see so many things that make me want to cry and angry at the same time. And every day I see what used to be houses turned into crumbling rocks and dust at the feet of families who live in them. I see young children with sad eyes and traumatised faces-innocent little things that should not have to endure and suffer what they have not done. And every day as I go to school and sit in the many tedious classes I have I realize how lucky I am and blessed for the life my parents have worked hard to give me. But I also am aware of how useless I am to do anything.

Afterall, I am just a 17 year old girl. A girl living a life of study, school, exams, and dance and yet, I feel so helpless. I often wonder if everyone feels the same? Do they care? I see my teacher talk about many things but nothing that strikes the topic of what we should care about. People go about their daily lives and feel indifferent to the other people and the world around them. They find means to isolate themselves when in fact this is not the right way at all.

I can only hope people have learned from mistakes from the past and strive to distinguish situations for what is right. Looking at it in a positive light, I think these challenges are good for our world today. The world would a dull place if there weren’t any adversities to overcome right? And, of courses somehow they give us the chance to play heroes. Then everyone will have their own happy ever afters.

Dear readers, what do you think of today’s crisis, I would love to know.

As always, have a good day and see you in my next post.

May.

You need a little challenge to keep you going.

Trinity College. A picture I took of a University while I was on an open day, isn’t it beautiful?

Good evening everybody! So, lately I haven’t been posting very much than I would like to. My life is currently a whirlwind of school, exams, study and a long awaited mid-term breaks. So you can probably imagine how crazy my life is. In about a weeks time I will taking mock exams which will prepare me for the real thing in May and June. I’m slightly nervous and anxious and doing everything I can to remember all the material out of my seven subjects
Lately, I have felt very down. I found myself complaining from which wasn’t what I normally do. Sure I complain from time to time but this time it was extremely consistent.I realized what I was doing and thought about it for a moment and calmed myself down.
Then, I went to class like usual.

On that particular day I had a class with a teacher who knew we were under a lot pressure and she has taught something I will neve forget.

“challenge yourself against the negative thoughts. And this shall pass.”

When you read this I will still be probably doing my exams. And there will certainly be more consistent updates from now on. So, here a little thing I learnt today and maybe it might of taught you something.

All the best. And have a nice day!

The rose that grew even in Winter

I hope whoever reads this may find these quotes useful and motivating in the new year of 2017. These quotes really made me realize how stagnant I live – I wake up, go to school, do my homework, scroll through my phone, eat, sleep. Nothing I do every single day will make me proud or happy when I think of how I will feel when I look back on my life. I know I will remember the time wasted and the time I lost in forgetting to pursue my goals. I am sure I am not the only one who lives like this today, but perhaps I am the only one who realizes it. Therefore, I want to share with you all these powerful words that I believe will change this year.

EDIT: forgot to post this even though I had written it!

Quote day III

Good morning all! Today is the last day of the quote challenge for me and unfortunately the last day of winter break. I am not ready to face the next few months filled with exams and homework, but I am positively sure I will survive it.

These were the only white roses in my garden and surprising were the ones who lived through the cold winter. They remind me to stay strong and most of all beautiful in both inside and outside.

Without further ado here are my last three quotes of the challenge! And Thank You, Maya Rose for nominating me.

1. “Every dream begins wth a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion; to reach the stars, to change the world”  -Harriet Tubman

2. “What is the point of being on this earth if you are going to be like everyone else.” -Arnold Schwarzenegger

3. “If you are lucky enough to be different from everyone else…..don’t change” – Unknown

amazing quote few people epitomize. As we grow up we are hardened and changed by society and we slowly grow far from who we once were when we were children.   We grow up.

Dear readers hope you all have a lovely day. Stay golden. 😉

I hope you all feel hopeful for the year ahead because I am! I can’t wait to start this year and do all the things I hope to achieve and try.
Here the three quotes for day 2 challenge! 🙂

  • Don’t give up just because of what someone said. Use that as a motivation to push harder.

  • “You are born and then you die, but in between you can do anything you want. It’s society that creates rules for us, but you can break out of that.”( Personal fav)

  • “Take the risk or lose the chance.”

Three nominees today are:

  1. Cindy at https://cookiesnchem.com/ new favorite follower I am currently following. 🙂

Awaiting Raindeers | Quote Day I

Quote Day I

Heellloooo!  Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I hope everyone is spending time with people they love. SO, it’s been quite a while since my last post *aheemm about a month ago* but I’m here again!

These past few months have been hectic and extremely busy. I am sure many of you know about the exams I will be taking this school year. And so this has resulted in tedious about of time spent studying and doing class exams. This week was my final week in school but unfortunately, this meant I had Christmas exams coming up. Luckily they went well for me and I have not only studied the required material but predicted the questions for many of the imminent exams. I am glad to say I feel as light as a snowflake after those stressful days!

Also, I have been nominated for the “3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge” by Maya at https://maysarose.wordpress.com/ (Thanks for nominating me! This has been the first challenge since I started blogging in late July and I am so happy this is my first one! Although it is a slightly late post!)

Anyways, here is how the challenge works!

  1.  Thank the blogger who nominated you 🙂
  2. Post three quotes for 3 days
  3. Nominate 3 bloggers per day
  4. Inform the nominees

A quote a day always makes my day but I guess thrice a day would make it even better. Here are my three quotes of today:

  1. “You can’t a rainbow without a little rain.” -Unknown.

  2. When you believe in a thing, believe it in all the way, implicitly and unquestionably. – Walt Disney.

  3. Y0u are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream. – C .S Lewis.

Here are three nominees I have chosen:

  1. Moa at https://moandreasson.wordpress.com/ for her always amazing post that I always look forward to reading and her beautiful and aesthetic pictures.
  2. Denise at https://dreamerdenise.wordpress.com/ for that lovely comment that made me realize we all just dreamers in this small world.
  3. Harriet at https://aballetoflife.com/ for her insight into the wonderful world of ballet dancers.

I know how life can get in the way of things so for all you nominees don’t worry if you can’t partake in the challenge as soon as you would like. Good luck to everyone and I look forward to reading your posts soon! 🙂

And that’s a wrap everyone. Good day!

life so far and life lessons

Hi everyone sorry for not being able to post anything during the past month. I have realized how behind I am with blogging. Nothing has been very interesting in my life lately. It just has been a constant cycle of school, homework, Food, and sleep. And since this year is my final year before University, I’m sure all of you out there know the feeling.

Despite exams coming in the early month of February next year, I still can’t seem to fathom how close it is and surprisingly enough I am not worried about them, even though they might just determine  where I will be in Uni and if I will get the course I want. But meeehhhh……

Anyways, over the past few days, I have gotten to experience a number of experiences worth noting in life. I don’t know about a lot of people out there but these lessons have surely taken time for me to experience because of the introvert I am I tend not to go out a lot.

So without further ado here are the things I have learned:

  1. Know that you are your own best friend. People may try to give their own advice to you but the very best thing is to listen to yourself and to hear what is right  in you. That is not to say don’t give people the chance to be listened to but in the end, you are the one to make the final call.
  2. Don’t listen to what all the haters have to say about you, even if they may hurt you emotionally. If it’s not true then it’s not true, don’t linger on it.
  3.  Don’t worry, just think about now, not tomorrow or yesterday.
  4. Don’t waste your time trying to explain the truth to people who don’t want to see it.
  5. Be happy, it’s nearly Christmas!

P.S Forgot to mention Happy November Everyone! I have just realized how much I LOVE Autumn, I love the colors so much! What are your reasons for loving fall?

Ever since October has come I have already started to listen to Christmas songs already! My favorite one is Jasmine Thompson’s “Last Christmas Wham!” What yours?

Hope you liked this post and see you soon in my next one readers!

Out into the Woods

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I went on a journey out of the woods or more precisely into the dense woodlands/grassland of what used to be the Isle of Green. A.k.a Ireland. I

wasn’t alone though on this trip I was among many other people who had to carry out an ecology trip/study in a grassland/woodland and luckily my school has chosen phoenix park/Dublin Zoo to carry out this ecology trip and I am very grateful for that. After, 3 hours of gruelling hard work we were finished with it and were left to wander on our own around the Zoo which was a Superb reward.
It was my first time in Dublin Zoo actually since 2/3 years ago when I went with my family. Back then I did not realize how suffocating and enclosing these closures were for the animals. Now that I am back I feel so miserable but at the same time awed at the beauty and wonder of these creatures. The Animals seemed all to be in good health and was probably affected by the cold weather as I was. Who knew the cold would come so soon! I did not get to see all animals as I had to return to our bus to go back home. Fortunately, I brought my camera with me and took some decent pictures. I did not take all the animals because I feel quite guilty for being that annoying tourist that flashes and points their cameras in every direction of the animals. However, I did try to take these pictures subtlely and that kind of made me feel better.

I really love how blue the sky is in contrast to the green. Do you see the mansion?

Happy Sunday Everyone! When I woke up today it was especially bright and sunny outside for the first time in a long while during this week. The temperature here has suddenly decreased very dramatically for the past few and even though the thermometer indicates this change,it does not justify how cold it has gotten.

Anyways, today I went out on a morning walk around nine-ish and was very happy to see how lovely the weather was- blue skies and not a single cloud to be seen. Generally, in Ireland the weather is very rainy and even if there is sunshine it doesn’t last very long. Rain is very common especially in the month of September. And since it is Autumn now it was sort of unusual to be woken up by sunlight streaming into your room uninvited.

I made the most of it though and during my walk, I took a lot of pictures of the park I walked in. Today was the day I took snapshots of Summer before it came to and end and also before autumn arrives.

More pictures of beautiful trees. The trees here are actually humongous and are probably thousands of years old, I had to really bend my back to take this one.

Another tree photoshoot. ft. a dog that wasn’t intentional. Just so happens he/she was passing through. But I think it makes the photo so much  prettier.

Another view of the trees from a different perspective.

Hope whoever reads this enjoyed looking at the photos as much as I did. I really love this set of photos I took and I enjoyed taking them too.

Have a good day everyone!
